What are Stem Cells ?

Stem cells are the body's raw materials - cells from which all other cells with specialized functions arise.

Every organ from skin to bone in our bodies grew out of a cluster of stem cells, early in development. A stem cell differs from every other cell in the body in its ability to renew itself. It can divide into many more just like it. Stem cells are mother cells that have the potential to become any type of cell in the body.

Stem cells are the foundation of development of all life including plants, animals and humans. In humans, there are many different types of stem cells that come from different places in the body or are formed at different times in our lives.

Stem cells are defined by two characteristics:

  • They can make copies of themselves, or self-renew
  • They can differentiate, or develop into more specialized cells

Beyond these two things, stem cells differ a great deal in their behaviors and capabilities.          The younger the stem cell, the more powerful the effects. The younger more vibrant cells have new telomeres and genetics. The younger the cell the closer to original life enhancing potential...to slow the march of time.

Stem Cell Sources:

  • Embryonic - not used for treatment, Immunosuppressive medication for rejection, Teratoma/cancer risk very high, Loss of regenerative properties due to maturation of cells, controversial
  • IPS (Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells) - Very similar to Embryonic cells
  • Non Embryonic - Fetal Stem Cells, Cord/Placenta at birth, Adult Stem Cells, Blood, Bone marrow, Fat and other organs

Acquest Health & Stem Cell Research Development uses only Adult Stem Cells directly from the patients OWN BLOOD (OWN DNA) to achieve the safest and most effective treatment outcomes similar to Embryonic cells.

MSCs are Proven Safe

Stem Cell therapy is proven to be completely safe, as its natural, non-invasive way to heal and regenerate.

Stem Cell therapy helps to rejuvenate and replenish damaged cells in the body, promoting natural healing.

While the body has the ability to heal itself through natural processes, illnesses and injuries still occur. As we age. our cells slowly deteriorate and our body may not be able to regenerate itself as effectively. Different types of Stem Cells exist, and it is the MSCs that are used by the body to create new connective tissue, including nerve cells, cartilage and tendons.

MSCs are a limited resource and healing slows down as they are utilized. Stem Cell therapy "trains" the body to heal itself, enhance health and repair damaged areas.

MSCs are showing great potential in the fields of regenerative medicine, tissue engineering and gene therapy. There are various sources of MSCs including adipose tissue, bone marrow, cartilage, hepatocytes (blood), nerve cells, muscle cells, epithelial cells (skin), pancreatic cells etc.

With over 3000 clinical trials and numerous research studies in process, scientists predict an explosion of new therapies being universally adopted, including standard, routine treatments for diabetes, multiple sclerosis, stroke, heart failure and liver damage.

MSCs can improve the conditions of renal failure, cirrhosis, fertility, osteoporosis and ischemic heart disease.

BENEFITS OF MSC THERAPY

MSC therapy provides an overall feel-better sensation.

Stem Cell therapy helps in :

  • Reducing inflammation
  • Boosting immunity
  • Repairing damaged-organs
  • Anti-aging benefits
  • Improving mental clarity
  • Boosting endurance, performances and boosting your energy levels
  • Stimulates healing
  • Helps reduce insulin resistance

Wharton's jelly is the gelatinous substance within the umbilical cord that surrounds the umbilical vessels during pregnancy.

Upon delivery, umbilical cord is routinely separated with the placenta and sends for discard. Scientists have found that your baby Wharton's jelly is an exceptional source of valuable stem cells.

A single umbilical cord may only contain a few thousand MSCs, although their culture and expansion can turn them into millions of cells.
